Meet Cricket! She's estimated to be 7 years old (as of July, 2025). She weighs about 30-38lbs. She's spayed and heartworm negative. She is considered a Laci breed or a Texas Laci; bred to hunt wild hogs. We have not done a DNA test to determine exactly what she is however due to cost.
She came into the San Antonio shelter from a cruelty case but is not exhibiting any signs of traumatization. She has been socialized, house trained and well cared for while in my care. She's also kennel and leash trained. She has been through basic training and she does obey simple commands. She'll need further training by her new family to understand their boundaries. She has an overbite that gives her a shark-like muzzle and when she's sniffing she sounds like a little machine gun; it's terribly cute! She's hilarious!!!! When she's running wide open she tucks her rear end under her. She has such a cute hopping walk. She has yet to learn to play with toys or frisbees. She loves attention and being brushed. She loves to cuddle next to me while on the couch and falls asleep feeling safe. She is available for adoption, fostering or sponsoring as we prepare her for her new life with a forever family. |
