"A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal." — Proverbs 12:10
To God be the glory for His guidance as we stand as faithful stewards of His creation. At The Animal Cause, Inc., saving animal lives means building the infrastructure that connects crisis to care — not just running one rescue program, but developing an entire network of them, together.
We're 100% volunteer-led. Every dollar goes directly into practical mercy and the systems that make it possible.
What We're Asking For Right NowThese aren't future expansion costs — they're the real, current needs keeping animals safe and The Shepherd's Ark moving:
Daily Animal Care
✨ Mercy Stage — piloting with our first shelter partner, creating verified visibility packages so long-overlooked animals get seen.
🐕 Saved to Serve — in development: a rehabilitation and training pathway to help animals reach their full potential.
🤝 Partner & Resource Network — growing our web of shelters, rescues, and receiving partners across Texas and beyond.
✂️ Sterilization & Medical Readiness Fund — building toward spay/neuter assistance, core vaccinations, and emergency vet microgrants.
📚 The Animal Cause Institute — early-stage work toward shared standards and resources for the wider animal welfare sector.
100% of Your Gift Goes to Direct CareWe use Zeffy, a zero-fee donation platform built for nonprofits — unlike traditional processors that deduct 3–5% from every gift, Zeffy ensures 100% of your tax-deductible donation reaches the animals and the work.
Ways to Give🔹 Fuel the Mission — any amount helps cover daily fuel, food, and care supplies

🔹 Sponsor the Solar System ($800–2,000) — powers the cooling units without draining the bus's own power
🔹 Vehicle Safety Fund — brakes, tires, and branding to keep The Shepherd's Ark road-ready and recognizable
🔹 Monthly Stewardship Partner — sustainable, year-round support across every program

Daily Animal Care
- Fuel for transport and outreach
- Dog and cat food
- Vaccinations and preventatives
- General care supplies
- Brakes and tires — critical, overdue maintenance
- Bus branding — so The Shepherd's Ark is recognizable wherever it goes
- 3 solar-powered portable A/C units, so animals stay safe and we can keep working through forced heat stops instead of losing the day
- Rooftop solar panels to power them
