Some background on Smiling Jack: In July of 2021, 5 adult dogs including Smiling Jack's mother, and 5 other siblings came from the San Antonio shelter. Unfortunately, a few of the adult dogs had contracted a severe upper respiratory infection while at the shelter. Soon all the dogs and puppies were sick with the infection. In less than 30 days, over $3600 in medical expenses were incurred.
To date over $25K has been invested in the group of 7. Additionally, Smiling Jack and his sister, BB Boo were adopted together in September of 2021 by the same family. Due to breach of contract (in danger of being returned to a shelter, bred, and failure to sterilize) the 2 dogs plus a puppy from a litter were confiscated in January of 2022. The expenses for Smiling Jack's his sterilization surgery was $205. It's been a saga for Smiling Jack but he deserves a loving home that will last him a lifetime.
He's remained a loving and sweet boy despite it all; giving us a gorgeous smile testifying to this!
