Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer Board of Directors (member)

The Animal Cause, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Christian animal welfare organization. Our mission is to save shelter animals and unite animal advocates to reform animal welfare, raise awareness, and create social change. We offer volunteer services to help save more animals while examining and supporting efforts to solve the causes behind the shelter population. We partner with and support other organizations in these efforts. Our vision is to reform animal welfare by becoming a strong, united, and impactful presence.
We are 100% volunteer-based (no one at The Animal Cause, Inc. earns a salary).
Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role for a Board of Directors Member at The Animal Cause, Inc. The Board of Directors Member will be responsible for participating in regular board meetings, providing input and guidance on organizational strategy and decision-making, and actively engaging in fundraising and donor cultivation efforts. The Board of Directors Member will also contribute to the oversight of programs and services, and help advance the mission and vision of the organization.

At this time, we do not accept court-ordered service hours nor track community service hours. Volunteers must not have conflicting associations with similar non-profit organizations or other businesses related to animal welfare.

- Experience serving on nonprofit boards or participating in board leadership roles
- Knowledge and passion for animal welfare and the mission of The Animal Cause, Inc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and provide valuable insights and guidance
- Experience in fundraising and donor cultivation
- Commitment to embrace and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
